On 7 February 2018 an Expert meeting on autonomous car driving system: cross-border research cooperation was organised in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic.
Innovation Centre of the Usti Region together with J.E. Purkyne University in Usti nad Labem organised a meeting between representatives from Fraunhofer Institute for Transportation and Infrastructure Systems IVI, Euroregion Elbe/Labe, TU Chemnitz, the Czech ministry of transportation, the city of Usti nad Labem, companies Valeo, Vodafone CZ, SKODA, Liftago, Sarolea, and IBM to discuss a cross-border cooperation between Germany and Czech Republic.
After a short introduction of each partner, CVUT Faculty of Transportation Sciences, Fraunhofer IVI Dresden, and TU Chemnitz each gave a talk. TU Chemnitz briefly introduced its technical capabilities (hydrogen lab, chemistry lab, and other facilities) and outlined its research activities and projects with focus on hydrogen (among others the Fit-4-AMandA project). The Fit-4-AMandA poster was also presented.
Afterwards, a brainstorming took place with the goal to identify suitable starting points for the cooperation, or necessary requirements for an acceleration of such cooperation.
