Higher production of fuel cell stacks provided by Fit-4-AMandA project should increase demand on the fuel cell components and the corresponding supply chains. Network HZwo focuses mainly on Saxon SME companies to promote and establish the fuel cell supply chains in Saxony.

Within the HZwo network, PEM fuel cell related research and development projects covering a wide range of topics from components for serial production to electric power trains are initiated.

The long-term goal of setting up a holistic value-added chain is the foundation for a long-term development of a high-tech cluster in Saxony. Hydrogen-powered fuel cells cause a technological change in the field of drive components as well as for their production and production processes. Thus, Saxon companies are allowed to get access to new products and future markets at an early stage safeguarding the creation of new jobs.

The network unites the expertise of Saxon companies and research institutes in the fields of fuel cell technology, vehicle drives, production and production technology as well as special machine and plant engineering.

HZwo is managed by the Department of Advanced Powertrains at the Technical University of Chemnitz.

HZwo:CONNECT will be held on the premises of Fraunhofer IWU in Chemnitz, Germany.
